Paypal originated back in 1998. It had it’s initial public offering in 2002 and was subsequently brought by Ebay in 2004. Since this time Ebay has continued operating it and it has over 244 million active users. When you come to make payment for a trip it is automatically set to use Paypal. We do this as with Paypal it not only gives you a secure payment but also gives you Buyer Protection. We offer this as a way to give you peace of mind when making payment. We are in not in the business to be dishonest and not deliver what we set out to do but this gives you the knowledge that you would get your money back if we did not say turn up with the coach to deliver the trip.
PayPal’s is secure and encrypted. When you come to make a payment your details are never stored on our website.
The other payment processor that we use to process your payment is Stripe. Again this is a world leading payment processor. It was set up in 2010 by two Irish brothers. It has quickly risen the ranks through the online world, employs over 1000 people and again has millions of active users using it’s payment systems.
In addition to this we also use a SSL Certificate on our website. These are small data files that digitally bind a cryptographic key to an organisation’s details. When installed on a web server, it activates the padlock and the https protocol and allows secure connections from a web server to a browser. Our National Day Trips website uses this which can be seen with the padlock symbol that appears where the website address is. SSL is used to secure credit card transactions, data transfer and logins, and more recently is becoming the norm when securing browsing of social media sites.
You can be assured that when you are making payment your credit/ debit card details are totally safe on our website. We do take this very seriously and only use verified world class payment processors.
