Real Ale Trails now added!

Hi Everyone,

As you may know we are always adding new tours that are exciting and fun. Our newest addition is the Off to the Country – Real Ale Trail.

This is a set to be a great tour that is aimed at people that enjoy Real Ales. Our aim is for you to not have to worry about any driving but to sit back, relax and be taken in comfort to beautiful areas in the Derbyshire countryside experiencing some fantastic pubs.

We are offering convenient pickup points in Manchester, Stockport and Hazel Grove. The first tour is on the Saturday 20th October and will be a hugely enjoyable day. The day will begin with the first pickup at 10AM in Manchester (the main London Road) off the Piccadilly station. The coach will then venture onto Stockport with the final pickup being Hazel Grove.

The first stop will be the Rams Head Inn in Disley for approx 11.15AM. It may be to early for some to begin on the Real Ale but this stop will give some time to have some brunch and sample some Real Ale or a coffee!

Afterwards we will head to Chapel en le Frith where you have time to have lunch and try one of the many real ale pubs at your leisure. There is the Shoulder of Mutton which is a Robinsons pub. They have stated that they have 3 Real Ales at any one time. Fickle Mermaid is another lovely Inn which is a Marstons pub. They have the usual suspects of an IPA, Wainright and Hob Goblin. Another pub of interest is the Roebuck Inn which looks like it could be worth a visit!

We will then head onto a lovely Country Inn called the Wanted Inn. This pub has great history attached to it, it is perched on the corner of the main A623 in an area called Sparrowpit. You have to admire the beautiful countryside that this pub is located in, it is just spectacular. This pub has two Real Ales to try both a dark Pedigree and a light local ale from the local Burton Brewery.

Afterwards we will then head onto to Bakewell which we know is famous for the Bakewell Pudding!! The iconic shop to get this is The Original Old Bakewell Pudding Shop. We have asked for some discount to give you and they agreed to 10% OFF on any purchase. Just mention NATIONAL DAY TRIPS in the shop and this will give you the 10% OFF.

Bakewell is a beautiful market town that is full of some great local pubs that have cracking local Real Ales. The ‘Queens Arms’ has been described by the manager as the ‘Best in Town’ with having been given Cask Marque Accreditation since 2013. They have approx 4/ 5 real ales on at any one time. The Wheatsheaf is another lovely pub. This has 6 real ales on at any one time. This is a Marstons pub also. You may even fancy a Jaipur Ale at the Rutlands Hotel!

Get booking your seat today, we are expecting this tour to be popular so book early to avoid disappointment!!
